A healthcare provider in Scotland is seeking a Band 7 Health Visitor to deliver high-quality health visiting services in the Uist and Barra area. The successful applicant will manage a caseload, ensure comprehensive data collection, and attend meetings for child wellbeing and protection. Health Visitor

Band 7 - £50,861- £59,159 per annum

Plus Distant Islands Allowance £1,406 per annum

Are you interested in working and living in Uist and Barra, a unique area of natural beauty with clean air, no traffic jams and the opportunity to explore a variety of outdoor leisure activities, cultural activities, as well as a wealth of traditional craft and music related pursuits, with travel connections to the mainland via air and ferry.

As a Band 7 Health Visitor you will work alongside Health Visitors covering Uist and Barra. You will be expected to provide an accessible, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective Health Visiting service in the community, by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other partner agencies. It is essential that you are a NMC Registrant and have a recognised post-graduate academic qualification as a Health Visitor, and have a proven track record of continuous professional development and innovative practice. You will have the ability and willingness to travel throughout the area to deliver services to children and families in their own home.

You will have overall responsibility and be accountable for managing a caseload. Possess good problem solving skills, an ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a team. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Have a duty of care to respond to, report and elevate Child Protection concerns with minimal delay to safeguard children and families. You will be responsible for record keeping, data collection, updating child health records with your assessment and plan for the child. Attend and/or chair child wellbeing meetings, child protection meetings submitting reports prior to attendance.

Applicants must be car owners and in possession of a full UK driving licence.
