Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager
City of London
£75,000 (inclusive of package). Permanent – Full Time. September 2025.
A respected principal contractor would like to appoint a new Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager within the business. This will be an excellent opportunity for you to join an exciting company who are always striving for the high standards within a supportive team environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead site-based health and safety activities across multiple projects.
- Manage health, safety, environmental, quality policies, procedures and management systems.
- Undertake regular site inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure best practice is applied on both office and site environments.
- Provide company advice, reports and guidance on statutory obligations and compliance with the company management systems certificated to ISO 9001.
- Ensure all works comply with current health and safety legislation and best practices.
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
- Support the development and implementation of H&S policies and method statements.
- Deliver toolbox talks, inductions, and training to site operatives and management.
- Investigate and report incidents, ensure lessons are learned and shared.
- Attributes and skills: NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance.
- Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach.
- This role is known as - SHEQ Manager, Health & Safety Manager, HSE Manager, Health, Safety & Environmental Manager, HSEQ Manager.
Qualifications
- NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent).
- Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance.
