Job summary

A respected principal contractor in the City of London is looking for a Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager. This full-time role involves leading health and safety activities across multiple projects, managing compliance with health and safety legislation, and conducting audits and training. The ideal candidate will have a NEBOSH Construction Certificate and experience in similar construction roles, exhibiting proactive communication and strong organisational skills. Salary is £75,000 inclusive of package.

Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager – City of London

£75,000 (inclusive of package). Permanent – Full Time. September 2025.

A respected principal contractor would like to appoint a Health, Safety, Quality & Environmental Manager within the business. This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting company that strives for high standards within a supportive team environment.

Responsibilities
  • Leading site-based health and safety activities across multiple projects
  • Managing health, safety, environmental, quality policies, procedures and management systems
  • Undertaking regular site inspections, audits, and investigations to ensure best practice is applied at the office and on site
  • Providing company advice, reports and guidance on statutory obligations and compliance with the company management systems certificated to ISO 9001
  • Ensuring all works comply with current health & safety legislation and best practices
  • Conducting site inspections, audits, and risk assessments
  • Supporting the development and implementation of H&S policies and method statements
  • Delivering toolbox talks, inductions, and training to site operatives and management
  • Investigating and reporting incidents, ensuring lessons are learned and shared
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a similar role within the construction sector
  • Strong understanding of CDM Regulations and site compliance
  • Proactive, confident communicator with strong organisational skills
  • Ability to influence and support both site teams and senior management with a collaborative approach
