Health & Safety Manager needed in Bury paying £400 per day ref 000A 5062 /1

Full time hours on a temporary basis

We are seeking a skilled and proactive Health and Safety Manager to lead the development and implementation of corporate health and safety policies and procedures. This is a strategic role, managing the Health and Safety service and ensuring compliance across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of corporate health and safety policies and procedures.
  • Manage the Health and Safety service, including H&S Advisors and contracts such as Occupational Health and health surveillance.
  • Represent the organisation at internal and external health and safety meetings and forums.
  • Provide oversight and scrutiny of health and safety activities, with regular reporting to governance forums.
  • Raise awareness and support managers in understanding their health and safety responsibilities.
  • Promote a positive health and safety culture by working closely with senior leaders.
  • Prepare information and guidance for projects in line with current Health, Safety, Fire, and Risk Management legislation and best practice.
