Job summary

A growing telecoms provider in Kent is seeking a Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to ensure compliance with SHE legislation and best practices. This role offers a salary between £60k-£68k plus a package, and involves travel across the South-East. Ideal candidates will have a strong background in SHE legislation and provide leadership in safety management. Excellent opportunities for progression are available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Implement and comply with IMS and best practice.
  • Ensure compliance with all IMS and contract specific requirements.
  • Report on SHE performance to the Executive Management Team.
  • Contribute to the formation of SHE strategy and policy.
  • Manage the reporting and review of all accidents/incidents.
  • Ensure compliance with future SHE legislation.
  • Encourage a functional culture that supports safety principles and goals.
  • Review issues/processes and introduce best practices.
  • Provide leadership across the Business and supply chain.
  • Lead interactions with relevant regulatory agencies.
  • Implement IMS and legal requirements.
Job description

Health, Safety and Environmental Manager - utilities, telecoms, civil engineering - £60k-£68k+ package - Kent, with travel across the South-East. Great opportunity to join a growing telecoms provider with a close knit team and excellent opportunities for progression.

Responsibilities
  • To implement and comply with IMS and best practice
  • To ensure the Business is compliant with all IMS and contract specific requirements
  • To report on SHE performance to the Executive Management Team and the Board
  • To contribute to the formation of SHE strategy and policy
  • To manage the reporting and review of all accidents / incidents
  • To ensure compliance with future SHE legislation. To anticipate / be aware of future SHE legislation changes and make plans to adapt to new legislation in a controlled / timely manner
  • To encourage and support the creation of a functional culture that embraces and supports principles and goals
  • To review issues / processes on a regular basis and introduce best practices
  • To provide leadership / support across the Business and supply chain
  • To lead and co-ordinate interactions with relevant statutory bodies and regulatory agencies e.g. Health and Safety Executive
  • To implement Integrated Management System (IMS), policy and procedures and all legal requirements
