Job summary

A leading nuclear industry service provider is seeking a skilled individual for radiological assessments. You'll ensure compliance with regulations and assist in radiological tasks. Candidates must hold NVQ Level 2 Radiation Protection and have proven health physics experience. Qualifications

  • Proven experience of health physics surveillance.
  • Understands radiological issues, shielding and protocols for safe working.
  • Working knowledge of Health & Safety Regulations inc: COSHH, PUWER, LOLER, RIDDOR.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out radiological surveys and analyses.
  • Ensure compliance with Ionising Radiation Regulations 2017.
  • Prepare and maintain necessary records and documentation.

Skills

Competent user of MS Office
Able to organise and prioritise own work
Carry out simple arithmetic calculations
Utilisation of technical or scientific data

Education

NVQ Level 2 Radiation Protection or City & Guilds – Radiation Safety Practices
ONC / HNC or equivalent in relevant discipline
Membership of appropriate technical / professional body
Level 2 Health & Safety in the Workplace or equivalent
