Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Healthcare Assistants/GPassistants to join our team. In this role, you will provide essential support to individuals in a GP setting, assisting activities and ensuring the highest standards of care, undertaking clinical tasks in line with the job specification. Your ability to communicate effectively and work collaboratively with healthcare professionals will be vital in delivering personalised care plans tailored to everyone's needs.

Responsibilities
  • Dipping urine, taking BP, pulse, weight and recording measurements.
  • Act as formal chaperone.
  • Participate in annual performance review and maintain a record of own personal and/or professional development.
  • Take responsibility for own development, learning and performance and demonstrate skills to others undertaking similar work.
  • Complete mandatory training and attend all relevant annual updates required to perform clinical duties.
  • Inform the Service Manager of any concerns regarding HCA/GPA role and any professional development needed.
  • Undertake HCA Competency Framework training if not already achieved.
  • Be aware of own professional boundaries and what to do when you have reached them.
  • Provide health promotion advice as appropriate.
