Overview

Health and Safety Manager - Kegworth

Location: Kegworth
Rate: £380 – £400 per day (Outside IR35 / Umbrella)
Contract: 6 months initial contract
Start: January 2026

Our client, a global leader in automation and material handling solutions, is seeking a Health and Safety Manager to oversee health and safety compliance on a major UK installation project. This is a hands-on site-based role, ensuring that all activities during the refurbishment and installation phase are carried out in line with UK safety standards.

The position requires a confident and proactive safety professional with the ability to identify unsafe behaviours, intervene effectively, and build strong working relationships with on-site teams.

What Our Client is Looking For
  • Solid experience as a Health and Safety Manager / Health and Safety Officer on large-scale industrial or automation projects
  • Familiarity with UK health, safety, and environmental regulations
  • Previous experience working on large warehouse / logistics sites highly desirable
  • Excellent observation, communication, and intervention skills to maintain safe working practices
Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure full compliance with UK EHS legislation, policies, and documentation
  • Monitor installation and refurbishment activities to identify potential hazards
  • Intervene promptly to stop unsafe behaviours or conditions, driving corrective actions
  • Deliver clear and confident safety communication with contractors and site teams
  • Promote a culture of safety awareness across the project workforce
Requirements
  • NEBOSH qualification (essential)
  • Prior experience working on an amazon site
  • Valid CSCS card or alternative
  • First Aid certification
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
