Health and Safety Advisor — Bedfordshire with UK-wide travel — Up to £40,000 plus Benefits

Irwin and Colton have partnered with one of the UK's largest bowling companies who are looking to recruit a Health and Safety Advisor. This role is brand new to the organisation, providing a fantastic opportunity to shape and embed a proactive safety culture across their growing portfolio, and will report into the health and safety manager.

The organisation operates a nationwide network of large entertainment venues that combine bowling with a variety of complementary attractions such as arcade games, soft-play areas for children, escape-room style activities and dedicated party spaces including food and drink.

Responsibilities
  • Support the health and safety manager to embed a culture of best practice across the business and property portfolio, ensuring regulatory compliance
  • Work closely with site teams and senior leaders to embed a strong safety culture
  • Ensure activities across the portfolio are properly managed, risk assessed and regularly audited to evaluate performance
  • Ability to work with local authorities and implement legislation for the likes of food and fire safety, security and safeguarding
Qualifications
  • NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent) and relevant membership body
  • Experience and knowledge of food safety is advantageous
  • Proven multi-site experience in a similar role within a customer-facing environment, such as leisure, hospitality, or retail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
