Location: Bristol | Start Date: September 2025 | Salary: £110‑£125 per day

Are you an experienced and highly organised administrator looking for a rewarding role in a vibrant primary school setting? Do you excel in a fast‑paced environment and enjoy providing dedicated support to senior leadership? Do you hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service? TeacherActive is delighted to be supporting a busy, community‑focused Primary School in Bristol who are seeking a confident and proactive Headteacher’s PA to join their team from September 2025.

In this essential role, you will work directly with the Headteacher, ensuring the smooth running of their diary, correspondence, meetings, and day‑to‑day administrative needs. This position is perfect for someone who is calm under pressure, exceptionally organised, and able to represent the school with professionalism at all times.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing high‑level administrative and organisational support to the Headteacher
  • Managing a busy diary, scheduling appointments, and coordinating meetings
  • Preparing correspondence, reports, documents, and meeting papers
  • Taking accurate minutes and ensuring follow‑up actions are completed
  • Acting as the first point of contact for parents, visitors, governors, and external professionals
  • Handling telephone and email enquiries with discretion and professionalism
  • Maintaining secure and accurate records, files, and confidential information
  • Supporting wider school administrative tasks when required to maintain smooth operations
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Proven experience as a Personal Assistant or Senior Administrator (school experience desirable)
  • A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (essential)
  • Excellent organisational, time‑management and multitasking skills
  • A warm, approachable manner and the ability to remain calm in a busy environment
  • Strong ICT skills, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MIS experience (advantageous)
  • A high level of professionalism, discretion and attention to detail
