Are you an exceptional Headteacher ready to lead a forward-thinking special school through its next phase of success? The Governors are seeking a Headteacher who can build upon these strong foundations, driving improvement while nurturing a culture of inclusion, creativity, and high expectations for both pupils and staff. Job Role:
  • Providing strategic and inspirational leadership that drives continuous improvement across the school.
  • Leading a dedicated team to deliver an engaging, high‑quality education for pupils with complex and moderate learning needs.
  • Fostering a positive, nurturing environment where every pupil feels valued, safe, and supported.
  • Working in partnership with parents, carers, governors, and external professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.
  • Managing the school's budget and resources effectively to support both academic and personal development goals.
  • Championing an ambitious and creative curriculum that meets the needs of all learners and promotes independence and confidence.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Headteacher, Executive Headteacher, or Deputy Headteacher in a SEND or mainstream setting.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS); NPQH or NPQEL desirable.
  • Strong understanding of SEND provision, safeguarding, and inclusive education practices.
  • A confident communicator who can inspire staff, engage parents, and build positive partnerships with external agencies.
  • A strategic thinker with the ability to combine vision with practical leadership and day‑to‑day operational excellence.
