The Lincoln Anglican Academy Trust is a multi‑academy trust formed by the Diocese of Lincoln in 2013. We are a growing and thriving family of schools dedicated to providing an excellent education for pupils across Lincolnshire. We have grown to serve twenty‑three academies across three local authorities of Lincolnshire, North Lincolnshire, and North‑East Lincolnshire.

Headteacher – The Role :

The Headteacher will lead and embed a strong, distinctly Christian vision that shapes all aspects of school life. They will inspire and challenge the school community to live out the Trust and School visions, promoting Excellence, Exploration and Encouragement so that every child can flourish in a creative and nurturing environment.

As part of LAAT, the Headteacher provides professional leadership and is responsible for the effective day‑to‑day and strategic management of the school. Working collaboratively across the Trust, they will promote positive attitudes to learning and contribute to a unified organisation committed to achieving the best outcomes for all pupils. The postholder may be required to work across Trust schools as directed.

Headteacher – Responsibilities :
  • Embed and lead the Trust vision, creating a positive, high‑expectation school culture aligned with Trust values
  • Lead teaching, learning and outcomes, ensuring a broad, engaging curriculum and high standards for all pupils
  • Use data and evaluation effectively to monitor progress and address under‑performance.
  • Lead and develop staff through clear delegation, accountability and professional development
  • Manage the school’s organisation, resources and budget to ensure effective and efficient operations
  • Work collaboratively with the Trust, governors, families and partners to strengthen community and inclusion
  • Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding and pupil welfare
Headteacher – You :
  • Qualified Teacher Status with a successful NQT year completed
  • Significant experience as a Headteacher, Deputy Head or Head of School with a sustained record of school improvement
  • Understanding of the mission and vision of the Church of England
  • Ability to develop and maintain a clear vision and lead others to plan and deliver it
  • Experience of the effective management of funding and resources
  • Understanding of strategies for ensuring inclusion, diversity and access to education for all
  • Current Safeguarding Training and awareness of the importance of safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
