A reputable educational recruitment agency is seeking a full-time Pastoral Officer for a secondary school in Oldham, with a duration until July 2026. The ideal candidate should be a recent graduate with experience in UK schools and up-to-date safeguarding training. Responsibilities include providing academic support and mentoring, as well as crisis intervention for students. The role offers accredited training and professional development opportunities in a supportive and calm environment.
FULL TIME, UNTIL JULY 2026
Prospero Teaching is looking for a Pastoral Officer to join one of our Secondary Schools in Oldham. Students at this school can pose challenges but staff who are calm, patient, resilient and caring will make huge differences in this setting.
There is lots of training available for the successful position and our SLT run regular CPD for all staff. The role of a Pastoral Officer is much more "all encompassing" and you will provide some academic support, some 1:1 mentoring, and some "crisis intervention" to support students who need intervention. This is a full time role and will run until July 2025.
Standards are high and the young people in the school are supported from day one with a uniform approach by teachers and support staff, and a calm, positive environment is noticed from the moment you enter the school. Classrooms are well equipped in this fantasrtic school building, which was recently fully renovated.
If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply with a copy of your up to date CV. Unfortunately, only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
