Overview

Head of Sourcing & Supply – Nottingham (Hybrid + international travel to China & the US)

£70,000 – £90,000 + bonus

Are you an experienced supply chain leader ready to take full ownership of sourcing and supply for a fast-growing international consumer brand?

This is a high-impact leadership role where you’ll manage a $5M+ annual stock purchasing budget, oversee global supplier relationships, and build scalable processes to support rapid growth. You’ll play a key part in ensuring product availability, negotiating better terms with suppliers, and developing a supply chain that is efficient, cost-effective, and ready for scale.

Responsibilities
  • Strategic sourcing & supplier management – Build and manage relationships with factories and suppliers across China and the US, ensuring product quality, compliance, and cost efficiency.
  • Contract negotiation – Secure favorable terms on pricing, lead times, and payment terms to drive savings and improve supplier performance.
  • Demand & inventory planning – Move the business away from spreadsheets by implementing modern planning tools, optimizing stock levels, and reducing stockouts or overstocks.
  • Global logistics management – Oversee international shipping, customs, and freight to guarantee timely and cost-effective delivery.
  • Process improvement – Refine systems, dashboards, and KPIs to give leadership clear visibility on COGS, inventory turns, and supply chain efficiency.
  • Team leadership – Manage and mentor a small supply team, building a culture of accountability, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
  • International travel – Visit suppliers and factories in China (approx. twice per year) and collaborate with teams in the US.
What we’re looking for
  • 5+ years’ experience in supply chain management, sourcing, or operations (ideally CPG, consumer products, or personal care).
  • Strong track record of supplier negotiations and contract management.
  • Proven experience in demand planning, inventory optimization, and logistics.
  • Commercially sharp, strategic, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, scaling business.
  • Hands-on leader who enjoys building structure, solving problems, and working cross-functionally.
  • Nottingham-based (hybrid model), with flexibility for international travel.
