Department: Risk
Employment Type: Permanent - Full Time
Location: UK - London
Reporting To: Director, Risk
We’re looking for a standout risk leader to take on a highly visible role at the heart of Risk at CFC. As Head of Risk Business Partnering, you’ll bring our enterprise risk framework to life, turning strategy into action and making risk management a part of our everyday decision-making.
Working across underwriting, operations, and enabling functions, you’ll shape how teams understand and manage risk, building strong relationships and a culture of ownership. As the face of Risk to the business, you’ll lead engagement, education, and communication, ensuring accountability at every level.
Working closely with the Head of Risk Frameworks & Reporting, your focus will be to align our enterprise risk management strategy with effective implementation, helping design controls, support risk assessments, and drive smarter oversight through our Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) platform.
You’ll bring solid experience in enterprise or operational risk management within insurance, reinsurance, or financial services, ideally with exposure to MGAs or the Lloyd’s market. A track record of embedding risk frameworks and culture into business processes and decision-making is essential, from risk assessment and control design to scenario analysis.
Hands‑on experience with GRC systems and risk reporting will be key, to enable you to use data and insights to guide senior leadership decisions. The role also calls for strong stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the confidence to act as a trusted advisor, lead workshops and training, and champion a consistent risk culture across the business.
