Role: Head of Projects

Location: London

Salary: 85 - 95,000 + package

The Company

This Head of Projects role is with one of the global leaders in the facilities management and property services sectors, providing a wide range of services to a multi-national client base. Part of their offering includes acting as a principal contractor, undertaking a diverse range of projects within their clients' existing property portfolio/estates, including M&E upgrades, building fabric refurbishment, and commercial fit-out, with project values ranging from 50k to 5 million.


The Role

As a Head of Projects, you will be responsible for managing a team of project managers to deliver project-based work across several major client accounts. Ideally, we are looking for someone with experience in a similar role and familiarity with clients in the banking/financial or commercial sectors. To succeed, you must have client-facing experience and a good level of expertise in both the commercial and delivery aspects of projects.


The role includes:
  1. Provide leadership in identifying and specifying project opportunities, creating a pipeline of opportunities through effective relationships.
  2. Develop and manage all bids, tenders, and proposals.
  3. Ensure projects are secured and delivered on time, within financial requirements and margins.
  4. Lead teams in the safe delivery of projects, managing all risks (technical, statutory, health and safety, commercial, or otherwise).
  5. Manage sub-contractors.
  6. Take financial responsibility for the delivery of the annual projects plan, managing the monthly P&L and ensuring costs are fully accountable and recoverable.
  7. Produce financial and management reports.
  8. Recruit and retain talent for current project delivery and future growth.
