Head of Procurement - 3-Month Contract

Location: East London. Sector: Further Education

We are seeking an experienced Head of Procurement to join a leading college on a 3-month contract. This is a key role overseeing procurement processes, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and driving value for money across a wide range of services.

The Role
  • Lead and manage procurement across the college, ensuring compliance with public procurement regulations and financial policies.
  • Review and develop procurement systems, policies, and processes to support effective tendering, contract management, supplier relations, and spend analysis.
  • Work closely with the Group Director of Finance and senior stakeholders to deliver best value, mitigate risk, and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Manage high-value and complex procurement exercises while producing regular reports on performance, savings, and improvements.
What We're Looking For
  • Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) qualification.
  • Strong track record in procurement within education, public sector, or complex organisations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise, deliver to tight deadlines, and drive continuous improvement.
