A modern educational institution near Blackwood is looking for a passionate and dynamic Head of PE. For two terms in the first instance, Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious, well-qualified, inspirational, dynamic and highly motivated Head of PE. This is an excellent opportunity to develop school sporting provision which could also be made available on a secondment basis (permission should be sort from current headteachers prior to application).
The successful candidate will deliver a high-quality and inclusive PE curriculum, set clear expectations for behaviour and achievement, and create a positive environment in which staff and students of all abilities can make strong progress.

Islwyn High School is situated near Blackwood in Gwent. The school was purpose built in 2017 comprising a single three storey building. Its modern design includes state of the art facilities for subjects such as Science and Technology, a full size sports hall, performance hall and music suite, as well as a floodlit 4G sports pitch and fitness suite. The ICT and audio visual facilities available in all classrooms reflect significant investment in the teaching and learning environment for our pupils.
