Overview

As a Head of Maintenance at a Barchester care home, you'll make sure we have a clean and well-maintained environment so that residents feel at home and staff can do their jobs well. Creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere is part of our commitment to delivering first-class care and support.

Responsibilities
  • Turn your hand to all sorts of tasks within the care home building as well as in the gardens and grounds, e.g., fixing a leaky tap and planting bulbs.
  • Work comfortably alone or lead a team and support the General Manager with annual budget planning.
  • Liaise with contractors on jobs that fall outside the expertise of your team.
About You

The wellbeing of our residents will be your number one priority. With hands-on experience of property maintenance, you\'ll have at least one trade skill and ideally a proven ability to undertake a wide range of maintenance tasks. You should be reliable and flexible with working hours. This role also requires a full UK driving licence, IT literacy and GCSEs in Maths and English (or equivalent).
