A well-respected Education Trust is seeking a Head of Governance, Compliance & Risk to provide strategic oversight and expert advice. Endeavour Learning Trust is a growing, well-established, highly respected and thriving Trust in the North West, currently spanning South Ribble, West Lancashire and North Sefton.
The trust is entering an exciting phase of growth and is looking to appoint a new Head of Governance, Compliance & Risk to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation. This is a senior, strategic post for an experienced professional who can provide assurance, expert advice and system leadership across governance, compliance, risk management and data protection.
As a growing and ambitious Trust, they are committed to exemplary governance that not only meets statutory requirements but actively strengthens decision‑making, accountability and ethical leadership. This role represents a clear step change from operational governance support to strategic oversight, influence and organisational maturity.
A key aspect of this role is building and sustaining strong, trusted relationships across the Trust. You will work closely with Trustees and Executive Leaders, Local Academy Councillors and Senior colleagues across the Trust and academies.
You will ensure that all governance stakeholders are confident, well‑supported and fully engaged in their roles within the broader governance framework, helping everyone to understand how effective governance contributes directly to improved outcomes for children and young people.
This position is full time and permanent, working 37 hours per week. Monday to Thursday 8:30am-4:30pm and Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm.
Due to the requirements of this role, work outside of these hours will be required, for example to facilitate Board Meetings. Endeavour Learning Trust promotes flexible working, and time off in lieu will be given where work is required outside of normal hours.
This role will be based at ELT Head Office and occasional travel between Trust schools and sites is a requirement of this role.
