Job Title: Head of Food Technology - Southsea

Full Time | Permanent | October Start | £30,000 – £50,000 per annum

GSL Education are seeking a Head of Food Technology to join a secondary school in Southsea on a full-time, permanent basis, starting in October. This is an excellent opportunity for a dynamic and experienced leader to inspire students and drive the development of the Food Technology curriculum.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Food Technology department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning.
  • Develop and implement schemes of work in line with curriculum requirements.
  • Monitor and support the progress and achievement of students.
  • Inspire and motivate both staff and students within the department.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and health & safety within the department.
  • Contribute to whole-school initiatives, events, and extra-curricular activities.
Qualifications
  • Be an experienced Food Technology teacher with a proven track record in secondary education.
  • Possess QTS, be an ECT, or have an overseas teaching qualification recognised in the UK.
  • Demonstrate leadership and team management skills.
  • Be passionate about teaching and inspiring students in practical and theoretical food studies.
  • Possess excellent organisational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Be committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
