Newham is an inner‑city borough in East London, home to the Olympic Park, the Royal Docks and City Hall. It is one of the youngest and most diverse councils in the country with a mission to build a fairer Newham for all residents.
We are seeking an inspirational leader to join us as Head of Finance, supporting services to achieve this mission while transforming delivery across the Council. The role supports Adult Social Care, Housing and other directorates, leading financial control, staff development and value for money initiatives.
To be suitable you need to be a leading finance professional with excellent communication skills, proven management experience, and a track record in stakeholder management. Experience working with social care or public‑realm services is essential.
