Key Requirements

• Advanced knowledge of electronic engineering within the rail industry or other transferable industries.
• Experience in developing and leading a team of engineers with a focus on graduates.
• Track record of leading engineering transformation (systems/processes).
• Experience in R&D - product development for regulated industries (ideally rail).
• Soft Skills & Leadership: Engaging both externally and internally, strong communications skills, able to operate from boardroom to shop floor.
• Good operational leadership experience/balance of engineering R&D with commercial, operational hands-on leadership.
• Willingness to be hands-on while leading a team.
• Resilient, organised and able to inspire through change.
