A leading recruitment agency is seeking a Head of Buying for a fast-growing furniture business in the UK. This role is remotely based with occasional in-person meetings and focuses on managing the full buying process, executing product strategy, and leading a diverse team. The ideal candidate has proven people management skills, expertise in multi-category buying, and a strong commercial acumen. Competitive salary of circa £80,000 with a fixed-term contract of 6 to 9 months.

  • Lead the end-to-end buying lifecycle across multiple categories.
  • Develop commercial, design-led assortments that balance style, price, and profitability.
  • Respond quickly to market shifts and emerging trends.
  • Take charge of margins, stock flow, sales targets, and market data.
  • Analyse and manage product performance to maximize profit.
  • Lead, inspire, and elevate a diverse buying team.
  • Partner closely with design, planning, QA, and marketing.
