Overview

Anderson Knight is proud to be partnering with a leading legal services firm to recruit a Head of New Business – a newly created, high-profile role offering the chance to make a real impact.

Glasgow | £50,000 – £60,000+ Commission | Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm (flexible for travel/meetings)

This is an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded professional to shape and lead the firm’s growth strategy across Scotland in remortgaging and conveyancing services. You’ll be the driving force behind new client acquisition, building high-value partnerships, and converting opportunities into long-term business.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Develop and lead a sustainable new business strategy to deliver ambitious growth targets.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with introducers including brokers, lenders, estate agents, IFAs, developers, and law firms.
  • Expand the firm’s referral network through targeted outreach, networking, and industry events.
  • Convert enquiries into live instructions through proactive engagement and follow-up.
  • Work closely with operations and legal teams to ensure clients receive a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Champion a commercial, client-focused culture across the business.
  • Track introducer performance, pipeline activity, and conversion data to continuously improve results.
What We’re Looking For
  • A proven track record in business development, sales, or relationship management.
  • Exceptional communication and influencing skills with the ability to engage senior stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, target-driven, and confident in working independently.
  • Experience in legal services, lending, property, or another fast-paced B2B/B2C environment.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to build face-to-face relationships.
Desirable
  • Knowledge of the Scottish conveyancing or remortgage market.
  • Experience with broker networks, lending panels, or property sectors.
  • Legal background (e.g. solicitor, paralegal) seeking a more commercial career path.
  • Familiarity with CRMs, sales pipelines, and data-led reporting.
