Cabana – Head Chef Opportunity

An exciting opportunity to be part of the fabulous Cabana family! Our stunning restaurant is in need of a Head Chef.

Cabana is the home of the mighty flame‑grilled Spicy Malagueta Chicken! Our restaurants are Latin American inspired, known for fabulous grills and cocktails delivered in a vibrant, buzzing atmosphere.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver our core focus: lift people’s spirits & create memorable experiences.
  • Manage kitchen operations, ensuring seamless service and operations.
  • Supervise & coordinate kitchen staff activities to ensure efficient and effective food preparation.
  • Ensure consistent quality & presentation of all dishes, maintaining high standards.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, food safety, health & safety & cleanliness in the kitchen at all times.
  • Monitor stock levels, conduct regular stock checks & order supplies as needed to maintain efficient kitchen operations.
  • Train, mentor & motivate kitchen staff, providing guidance & feedback to improve performance.
  • Manage and oversee a designated section of the kitchen, ensuring all dishes are prepared to specification.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety & health & safety regulations, conducting regular inspections & maintaining accurate records.
  • Handle customer feedback & special requests, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
  • Maintain & care for kitchen equipment safely, reporting any maintenance or repair needs promptly.
  • Ensure portion control & minimize waste, adhering to cost control measures.
  • Support with stock management & stock control. Assist in the receiving and proper storage of deliveries, ensuring quality and freshness. Monitor food stock levels and report any shortages or issues promptly.
  • Adhere to portion control guidelines to minimize waste and optimize cost efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety & health & safety regulations at all times.
  • Are available full time and flexible to work evenings, weekends, and most holidays.
  • Have a good personality and a positive and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Are consistent, reliable, and an excellent team player.
