What you’ll be doing
  • Providing technical support during the development and delivery of all aspects of digital &/or analogue designs from requirements development, concept and detailed design, through to product certification
  • Managing own tasks within given schedules and budgets to meet programme needs
  • Supporting the delivery of design artefacts in accordance with company and industry standards
Your skills and experiences

Essential:

  • Aware­ness and basic understanding of digital &/or analogue electronics technologies; design tools and techniques, electronic circuits design, schematic capture, design analysis, design documentation, commissioning and integration
  • Able to work in small or large teams through the engineering development lifecycle with regular supervision/guidance
  • Aware­ness of cost and schedule management

Desirable:

  • Ideally have achieved HNC/HND in electronics engineering or an equivalent qualification
  • Practical electronics skills, e.g. circuit card assembly, soldering, wiring, etc
  • Aware­ness of component obsolescence management
  • Familiarisation with the Mentor Graphics Expedition Enterprise toolset

The Hardware team

As a Hardware Technician, you will be a part of a small dedicated team that provides support to the design and verification of digital &/or analogue electronic solutions for products such as Helmet Mounted & Head-Up Displays, Mission Computers, Flight Controls, Active Inceptors and other associated safety-critical technology. This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with innovating cutting-edge projects as a member of a very experienced diverse team, with the view to progressing your career within this industry.
