The leadership and improvement programme aims to:
Explore leadership within the NHS

Develop your leadership effectiveness and skills
Equip staff with the necessary knowledge and skills to lead and complete service improvements within the scope of your role.
After you complete these six and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities. We also offer a range of additional in-house and externally provided courses and bitesize programmes through our Leadership and Improvement Team.
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic candidate with a flexible approach to work. The post holder will provide technical management to the haematology team and be responsible for ensuring the operational safety and best practice of the department - for the benefit of the clinical care of patients within the hospital and community. The successful candidate will have proven operational management skills.
Haematology is a dynamic and forward thinking department providing an expert 24/7 service across all our hospital sites. You will hold an FIBMS and/or MSc and/or HSD (or equivalent experience) and a recognised management qualification (or equivalent experience).Where equivalence is being used to meet these essential criteria, please provide details in your supporting statement. You must be able to demonstrate a commitment to CPD, have excellent interpersonal and time-management skills.
