A leading trading firm in Greater London seeks motivated candidates for a Trader Analyst position. The role involves trading support tasks, collaboration with traders on new strategies, and requires a strong STEM academic background. Ideal candidates are resilient, analytical, and have a keen interest in trading and financial markets. Prior programming experience in Python, R, or C++ is a plus but not essential. The initial contract is for six months with prospects for a permanent position.

As a prospective candidate you need to be able to back up all of the above key attributes with relevant experience in your academic track record, previous work experience as well as any extracurricular hobbies and personal interests.
All of our Trader Analysts join Onyx on a 6-month probationary training contract initially, with progression to a permanent contract thereafter. We have start dates throughout the year, and encourage applications from those who can start immediately, as well as from 2026 graduates.
We are looking for candidates who are able to provide a clear and demonstrable explanation of why they want to work as a trader, particularly within an OTC setting. If your CV has no reference to trading or financial markets in any way, your application will not be selected for further consideration.
