A supportive secondary school in Haringey is recruiting a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated inclusion team. This is an excellent opportunity for graduates seeking a pathway into SEN teaching, educational psychology, or therapy.
What You'll Do:
Provide 1:1 support for students with EHCPs, including autism, ADHD and SEMH needs
Help teachers adapt lessons to ensure all students can access the curriculum
Run small intervention groups to build confidence and skills in core subjects
Monitor and record student progress, contributing to review meetings
Support students' social and emotional development in line with school values
Requirements:
A recent graduate passionate about supporting young people with SEN
Patient, empathetic, and flexible in approach
Good communication skills and the ability to work closely with teachers and SENCOs
Some experience in SEN support (formal or informal) is desirable
