Overview

Ready to Lead the Future of Logistics?

Join our Graduate Leadership Programme and discover how far your ambition can take you.

At XPO, we’re looking for bold, curious, and people-focused graduates to become our future leaders. If you think differently, thrive in fast-paced environments, and want to make a real impact from day one — this is your launchpad.

What’s in it for you?

By joining our two-year programme, you\'ll gain hands-on experience in dynamic operational roles across the UK. You\'ll be given real responsibilities, receive first class support from your Learning & Development team, and be paired with a senior mentor who’ll support guide your career.

This is more than a graduate programme, it’s the start of your leadership journey. In fact, many of our former graduates now hold roles like Regional Transport Manager, General Manager, Account Director and even our current Managing Director began their journey on the graduate programme!

What will you be doing?

You’ll be stepping into a leadership role on each placement whether that be a Team Leader, Shift Manager or Warehouse Manager. You’ll have a team, daily accountabilities and exposure to everything you need to become a leader of the future. Every day will bring new challenges and opportunities.

You’ll be an integral part of the operation, with responsibilities that could include:

  • Running your own shift and leading your frontline teams
  • Working with the team to support the customer relationship and solving real-time issues
  • Working and supporting our drivers to overcome road or delivery point challenges
  • Working with our front line warehouse colleagues to face into daily actions such as increases in stock pick or Manual handling equipment challenges
  • Supporting the wellbeing and performance of your team
  • Contributing to key projects in sustainability, continuous improvement, and new site launches

We’re looking for people who get stuck in and say yes to learning, challenges, and personal growth.

What you’ll gain
  • Three 8-month placements across the UK, in leadership roles
  • A guaranteed job offer upon completion, tailored to your career aspirations
  • Exposure to international operations, with the opportunity to collaborate across Europe and the US
  • CPC Transport and Warehouse Manager qualifications
  • Leadership & Management training, including key skills like commercial awareness, coaching, managing challenging conversations, and more
  • Personalised development, including access to XPO University and training in areas you’re passionate about (e.g. becoming a Mental Health First Aider)
  • A network of graduate peers and senior stakeholders
Pay & Perks
  • £28,000 starting salary, rising to £29,000 after 12 months
  • 25 days holiday + bank holidays, with the option to buy more
  • A senior mentor, to support and guide you through this exciting journey
  • Travel, relocation & hotel support when moving placements
  • Access to a wide range of colleague perks:
  • Discounted car leasing
  • Wellbeing & medical benefits
  • High street discounts
  • Cycle-to-work scheme
  • Pension and more
What we’re looking for
  • A graduate (from any discipline) with the right to work in the UK by your start date
  • A passion for logistics and operational excellence
  • A willingness to be mobile — placements are based across the UK so a driving licence is a must
  • A hands-on, can-do attitude and a desire to drive change
