Your role:
We are looking for a Graduate Hydrologist to join our Water Environment discipline in our Leeds office, as part of the 2026 graduate programme.

The Opportunity
Stantec's market-leading Technical and Environmental services group in the Water sector support our clients in the water industry, including water companies, regulators and research bodies across the UK and occasionally internationally. We also support across other multidisciplinary sectors, including energy and infrastructure.
You will join a friendly team of Hydrologists, contributing to high-quality projects and applying digital modelling skills to real-world challenges. These projects include enhancing the resilience of the public water supply, flood risk alleviation and sustainable drainage schemes. You will work on a variety of projects, providing high quality solutions to challenges faced in the water sectors. Some examples of challenges are:
This role offers a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality solutions to environmental problems in the water industries, involving both field and office work. You'll learn to conceptualise, quantitatively analyse and report on hydrological systems and processes, focussing on the application of flood modelling and hydrological estimation software packages. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary delivery team, applying your knowledge of catchment science principles to meet our clients' objectives and positive environmental outcomes. Technical work will be complemented with learning fundamental project management principles, working within budget and scope, and liaising with other professionals in the industry.
You will develop skills in a wide range of core services, including water resources, groundwater, river and coastal modelling, flood risk assessments nature-based solutions, drought analysis, climate change assessments, and catchment management.

About you
At Stantec, we value your potential over past experience. Along with a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Hydrology or Engineering, or in Geology, Geography, Environmental Science or other relevant subject, with a keen interest in working in Hydrology, you will be:-
