Job Description

As a graduate engineer at Ramboll you will be directly involved in innovative and complex projects. You will contribute to the design and delivery of buildings, from initial concepts to site visits, and monitor implementation throughout the project life cycle. You will work in the Buildings Department, collaborating across Structures, Civil, Mechanical & Electrical, Facades, Acoustics, and many other disciplines to enhance engineering competence.

We put sustainability at the forefront of our projects and encourage employees to exceed current sustainable practices. A key part of your role will be to support our sustainable change initiatives across all projects.

Locations: Chester & Leeds.

Qualifications
  • A BEng, MEng or MSc level degree in a relevant Mechanical engineering subject.
  • Interest in the design of building services, especially mechanical systems.
  • An active curiosity around building physics and sustainable design solutions.
  • Demonstrable aptitude to learn computer programming languages and complex data manipulation and processing.
  • Ability to summarise and present complex engineering concepts via different channels.
  • An interest in digital automation and optimisation.

We don’t expect you to know everything, but we look for curiosity, responsibility, and a desire to deliver high‑quality work. Good communication and collaboration skills are essential.
