Graduate Design Engineer – Temporary Works and Piling/Foundations

Location: Manchester

Type: Permanent

Salary: £29,000 - £31,000

Responsibilities

• Join the Shoring and Below Ground propping design team and the above ground team in Manchester, working on geotechnical and structural design tasks.
• Contribute to propping for deep basements and bespoke steelwork designs and connections.
• Apply geotechnical concepts with structural analysis and design in a combined discipline.
• Engage in major projects and receive full training for the role, including participation in an industry-leading chartership training scheme to achieve chartered status as soon as possible.

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree or master’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• Interest in geo-technical engineering, including pile design and SI interpretation, and deep excavation support.
• Ideally some post-university engineering industry experience; exceptional recent graduates will also be considered.
• Eligibility to work in the UK; please note sponsorship is not available now or in the future.
