We’re looking for a Graduate Civil Engineer to join our progressive, award-winning Civil and Structural Engineering team in our Bristol office, joining our 2025 Graduate Programme, where you'll be delivering sustainable projects for our communities, planet and society.

As a Stantec graduate, you will collaborate with your team and wider cohort, developing your expertise within an exciting and creative interdisciplinary environment and will benefit from strong support from both office and technical colleagues, as well as significant guidance from senior staff within our open and collaborative culture.

This is a fantastic opportunity to kick start your career in Civil Engineering by gaining valuable experience within an established consultancy. We're looking for graduates with a passion for the built environment, and the desire to work in a highly collaborative multi-disciplinary team focused on sustainability, technical excellence and shaping construction in the UK and overseas.

Your role:

  • Assisting with the design of foul and surface water drainage systems using hydraulic modelling software (MicroDrainage / InfoDrainage).
  • Assisting with the design of external works / levels (using Civil 3D).
  • Helping in prepare Drainage Strategy reports suitable for planning.
  • Supporting applications for Section 104, 106 & 185 agreements with the local water authority, and 278 / 38 agreements with the local highways authority.
  • Assisting in obtaining consents from LLFAs, Water Authorities and the EA.
  • Coordinating with architects, structural engineers and other members of the design team.
  • Attending site visits and supporting inspections.
  • Liaising with contractors and suppliers during design and construction stage.
  • Generally supporting engineers / senior engineers and project managers throughout the various design stage.
  • Participating in CPD and civil engineering graduate training schemes.
