A local GP Practice in the United Kingdom seeks an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join their reception team. Sandy Lane Surgery & St Peter's Medical Practice are looking to expand their reception team with an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Medical Receptionist to join our friendly GP Practice whose main site is in Ravensdale and a branch surgery site in Mansfield Town Centre.
Experience of General Practice or NHS work is highly desirable, but not essential as training will be provided to a suitable candidate.
The role of the Experienced Medical Receptionist role can at times, be very demanding so we are looking for someone who is confident, has excellent communication skills, is highly organised and good at multi-tasking.
Working hours for the right candidate will be 25 hours - Monday to Friday working on a rota basis - mornings and afternoons.
Our operational hours are: Monday-Friday 8am to 6.30pm with a rota system to cover extended hours (currently Tuesday evenings until 8pm and some Saturdays 9am - 5pm)
The main purpose of the role is to receive, assist and direct patients in accessing appropriate service of healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient, and effective way.
Provide general assistance to the Practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
Book/cancel/re-arrange Doctors, Nurses and Other Healthcare professionals appointments in line with the agreed practice policy.
Support the practice with administrative duties required, including issuing of repeat prescriptions, e-mails, tasks, workflow, SARs requests, private medical paperwork and any supportive duties as and when required.
