Job summary

A secondary school in Essex is seeking a Governance Professional to advise the Board on matters of governance and constitutional duties. The role requires level 2 qualifications in Mathematics and English, along with a detail-oriented and flexible approach. As part of a welcoming and inclusive team, you will help support the school's development and has opportunities to contribute to extracurricular activities. Position Summary

TheGovernanceProfessionalis responsible for advising the Board on constitutional matters, duties and powers, and will work within the broad current legislative framework. They will secure the continuity of Trustee business and observe confidentiality requirements. The other responsibilities of the postholder will be in accordance with theGovernanceProfessionaljob description.

Minimum qualifications include level 2 in Mathematics and English at a minimum C grade [or grade 4] at GCSE.

The candidate should be detail‑oriented, hardworking, flexible, have a high level of commitment and be able to work in a calm, collaborative manner whilst maintaining confidentiality.

Remuneration and Working Time

The hours of work required for the role are to be agreed with the Chair on a casual basis, term time only (38 weeks). The salary will be £15 per hour plus an annual leave entitlement.
