Overview

To assist the Campsite Wardens with the smooth day-to-day running of all operations at Glenbrittle Campsite & Cafe, including tent/hook-up pitch sales, site cleanliness and maintenance, security and retail.

Voted No.1 UK Campsite by the Daily Telegraph and winner of the ‘Gold Campsite of the Year 2019’ in the Great Outdoors Magazine, we are looking for dedicated, enthusiastic and hardworking seasonal Campsite Wardens with a genuine sense of pride in their work and a varied skillset.

We offer competitive rates of pay, in‑house training, free shared accommodation and the chance to work with a great team in wonderful surroundings. Training and accommodation will be provided to successful applicants. Onsite training will begin in mid‑March. You will require your own transport for this post due to the site’s remote location at the foot of the Cuillin mountains.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Campsite Wardens with all day‑to‑day operations, covering tent/hook‑up pitch sales, site cleanliness and maintenance, security and retail.
  • Open the shop and campsite each duty day as directed by the Warden, ensuring a 24-hr security presence and a welcoming environment for campers.
  • Provide information to campers and visitors about the site, surrounding area and up‑to‑date weather reports for climbers.
  • Ensure the camp shop is well‑stocked and merchandise is ordered timely and displayed attractively.
  • Make sure the campsite, toilets/shower block and shop remain high‑standard, clean and litter‑free.
Qualifications
  • Experience in customer service, including retail, cash handling and café work.
  • Experience in general site upkeep and maintenance.
  • Ability to provide excellent guest service in a retail and outdoor environment.
  • Must have own transport to reach the remote site at the foot of the Cuillin mountains.
