Job summary

A reputable education provider in Oxford is seeking a qualified Geography Teacher for a part-time, long-term temporary position starting in January 2026. The successful candidate will deliver engaging lessons, support pupils' learning, and maintain a positive classroom environment. Ideal applicants should have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and be able to motivate students while promoting their welfare. Weekly pay will be made via PAYE based on experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong subject knowledge in Geography across Key Stages.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
  • Previous experience teaching Geography in a secondary school setting is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver engaging Geography lessons using pre-prepared plans.
  • Ensure pupils remain on task and maintain a positive learning environment.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively in line with school policies.
  • Support pupils with queries and encourage participation in learning activities.
  • Monitor pupil engagement and provide feedback to teaching staff.
  • Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times.
