Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for a General Practitioner to join our healthcare team at HMP Five Wells, a category C prison located in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. The site supports around 1,670 patients, the majority of whom are aged between 30-39. Recently, a cohort of elderly patients has joined, requiring support with long-term conditions. Therefore, the role would suit a GP who enjoys delivering end-to-end care.

HMP Five Wells is a state-of-the-art prison offering a modern clinical environment and facilities. You will work closely with a large multidisciplinary team and alongside another General Practitioner.

Hours: Monday or Friday, 8.30 am - 5 pm, 8 hours / 2 sessions per week

Salary: Up to £125,000 per annum FTE, depending on experience
