Overview

We are seeking candidates who will bring the right blend of skills and experience necessary to lead and develop a team of dedicated professionals. You will bring a fresh, forward-thinking and collaborative approach to the role which is central to the continued improvement of the Acute Services we deliver.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and deliver the Sector's Emergency and Acute Medicine provision and patient flow model.
  • Be accountable for the strategic and operational delivery and development of the Service.
  • Support delivery of the Sector’s aims and aspirations for Better Care, Better Health, Better Workplace and Better Value.
  • Report to the Director for the South Sector and ensure delivery of high quality, safe and efficient patient centred services to meet local and national targets.
  • Develop the Sector’s patient flow model in collaboration with other Sector General Managers to maximise resources and deliver patient care efficiently.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Significant senior-level experience in operational management in healthcare or a comparable complex environment.
  • Strong influencing and leadership abilities; capable of inspiring confidence and leading in a politically sensitive and demanding environment.
  • Ability to foster a strong, patient-focused culture that encourages initiative, responsibility and open communication.
