General Manager: Sports and Leisure

Salary: GBP 36,000+

Location: Nottingham

Are you an experienced General Manager with new openings experience. I have a great opportunity for you to play a key role in one of the UKs fastest:growing sports and lifestyle movements. I am looking to speak to experienced and driven General Manager to lead a fast:growing leisure brand with multiple sites. This is a hands:on leadership role, perfect for someone passionate about sport, customer experience, and building high:performing teams.

About The Role
  • Take overall responsibility for the successful operation of the new state of the art venue, ensuring smooth day:to:day running and exceptional service standards.
  • Lead, inspire, and manage a team across the site, creating a positive, motivated, and high:performance culture.
  • Drive commercial success through membership growth, events, coaching, retail, and F and B partnerships.
  • Oversee budgets, operational planning, and site performance : ensuring KPIs are consistently met or exceeded.
  • Build strong community connections and engage members, schools, and corporate groups to grow participation and loyalty.
  • Work closely with the leadership team to support continued brand growth and expansion.
About You
  • A proven leader, ideally with previous General management experience in leisure, hospitality, or sports environments.
  • Strong commercial mindset, with a track record of delivering revenue growth and operational excellence.
  • Excellent communicator, able to inspire and lead teams while ensuring accountability and structure.
  • Passionate about sports, racket sports, or active lifestyles, with the drive to build vibrant communities around each site.
  • Organised, adaptable, and comfortable making decisions in a fast:paced, growing environment.
