Responsibilities
  • Administer general anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Specialised Areas : Pain clinics, intensive care, radiology (MRI / CT), ECT.
  • Monitoring : Interpret clinical readings, manage patient vitals (heart rate, BP, breathing).
  • Emergency Response : Provide resuscitation and acute care in critical situations.
  • Team Collaboration : Work with surgeons, nurses, ODPs (Operating Department Practitioners).
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and anaesthesia levels throughout the surgery.
  • Collaborate with surgeons and other medical professionals to ensure patient safety and comfort.
  • Evaluate patients' medical histories and assess their suitability for anaesthesia.
  • Provide pre‑operative and post‑operative care and education to patients regarding anaesthesia procedures.
  • Patient Assessment : Review patients, take histories, and create anaesthetic plans.
  • Perioperative Care : Administer anaesthesia (induction, maintenance, recovery) for various surgeries (cosmetic, general, obstetric, etc.)
Skills and Qualifications
  • MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognised institution.
  • Completion of an accredited residency programme in anaesthesiology.
