Overview

Chichester College Group have an exciting opportunity for you to join us as a GCSE English Teacher at our Chichester College campus. You will join us on either a part time or full time, permanent basis, and in return we will offer a competitive salary pro rata of GBP26,716 to GBP41,659 per annum.

Role

The GCSE English Teacher role involves inspiring and guiding our 16–19 year old students through their GCSE English course. You will create engaging lesson plans tailored to the needs of diverse learners. Your expertise and enthusiasm will ensure our students are equipped with the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their English GCSEs and to develop key English skills for everyday life. Various hours are available for this role; please state in your application form whether you are looking for full time or part time.

Responsibilities
  • Undertaking teaching and learning related activities, including tutoring, as agreed.
  • Devising a range of effective training materials, including online materials.
  • Ensuring that appropriate learning materials are prepared and assessments and assignments are undertaken in a timely manner.
  • Delivering training sessions to a range of customers and clients either onsite or at employers premises.
  • Liaising with other staff as appropriate to ensure a high standard of learning.
  • Providing effective feedback to clients.
  • Undertaking administration and providing reports and statistics regarding student and teaching matters.
  • Monitoring student enrolment, success rates and taking remedial action where necessary, including final assessments where required.
  • Monitoring and maintaining equipment and preparing replacement plans.
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Relevant GCSE / Functional Skills / ESOL teaching and assessing experience in related subject.
  • Experience in curriculum delivery and associated administration.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 applications.
  • Level 3 coaching qualification or willingness to work towards a qualification.
  • Time management, organisational skills and the ability to meet targets and deadlines.
  • Innovative and creative in meeting the needs of learners.
