Job summary

A garden retail company in Chipping Ongar is seeking a Team Leader for Plants to supervise the plant area and ensure excellent customer service. Candidates should have at least 2 years of plant knowledge and experience in horticulture. A forklift truck license is advantageous. The role is full-time with responsibilities including staff supervision and maintaining high service standards.

Overview

Garden Centre Team Leader - Plants

Full Time – 30 Hours Per Week – Including Weekends

At British Garden Centres, not only do we aim to deliver a great experience in our Centres, but we go above and beyond in creating an exceptional customer service experience too.

We are looking for a Team Leader Plants to work in this fast paced and very customer focused Centre. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, approachable and have excellent people skills with a positive “can do” attitude plus a keen eye for detail.

The successful candidate should be physically fit as this is a very hands on role and some heavy lifting will be involved. Forklift truck license would be an advantage although not essential as training will be given.

Experience in building or similar retail experience is preferred. 2 years of plant knowledge a must, previous work within horticulture required.
