A healthcare organization in the North East of England is seeking a Registered Pharmacist to develop and maintain clinical pharmacy services. The role involves collaborating with healthcare staff to ensure safe and effective medication use, providing advice, and supporting patients in achieving their health goals. This full-time position offers a salary range of £43,742 to £50,056 per year with opportunities for flexible working arrangements.
Summary: Working on the adult wards, you will be a motivated, enthusiastic, and dedicated team player, with excellent communication skills and a desire to share knowledge. Our well-established clinical pharmacy team provides a high-quality service, promoting medication safety and optimizing medicines use, as well as facilitating safe discharge.
To develop and maintain clinical pharmacy services in a specialist area or directorate within the overall Trust clinical pharmacy strategy. To participate in the provision of other pharmacy patient services functions. To promote the safe, rational, and cost-effective use of medicines by working closely with nursing and medical staff and health care managers. To perform the professional role of a Registered Pharmacist, including advice, supervision, and cooperation with colleagues, particularly in relation to support/cover for absent colleagues. To support patients to achieve their health goals in relation to medicines by providing person-centered care.
