Overview
Full time Nanny needed in Hook, RG27. This family are looking for a fixed term, one year maternity cover nanny for their two boys aged 7 and 9 years. The role is Monday to Friday; term time hours of 2pm to 7pm and school holiday hours of 8am to 7pm. This is a sole charge position; the boys Nanna will be around on a few evenings a week when the role will become more of a relaxed shared care role, where the nanny and the boys Nanna can work together to focus on the boys needs and give them more one on one time.
Responsibilities
- Child-related admin such as sorting uniforms and children’s laundry
- School pickups and assisting with homework
- Serving dinner (the family’s Nanna helps with batch cooking) and starting bedtime routine
- In school holidays, organizing activities and outings (e.g., Wellington Country Park, Alice Holt, science museums, Frensham Ponds) and arranging play dates
- Supervising and engaging with the boys’ play (Lego, gaming, crafts) and supervising play in their large garden with trampoline and climbing frame
- Providing flexible and patient care in a supportive, collaborative way with the family
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum of two years nannying experience with children in the ages 7 and 9
- Paediatric first aid
- Full driving licence and own car, or car provided on duty; willing to drive for school runs
- Experience with ASD and ADHD is beneficial but not essential
- Energetic, kind, compassionate and patient with a flexible approach
- Enhanced DBS (registered on the Update Service) and at least two professional references
Job Details
- Location: Dogmersfield, Hampshire
- Hours: Term time – 5 hours per day; School holidays – 11 hours per day
- Days: 5 days per week
- Pay: Up to £19 gross per hour (approx. up to £34,960 gross per annum)
- Benefits: Additional annual leave of 30 days plus bank holidays (to be taken in school holidays; some flexibility)
