Overview

Are you a kind, calm, and experienced nanny who enjoys caring for newborn babies? A fabulous live-in nanny position has become available with a friendly family living in Barton Seagrave, near Kettering, Northamptonshire. The role starts in mid-January 2026, allowing time for a handover with a maternity nurse. You will have your own private bedroom and bathroom and will be warmly welcomed as part of the family.

Role details

• Location: Barton Seagrave, near Kettering, Northamptonshire
• Job start: January 2026
• Hours: Monday to Saturday, 07:00–19:00; Sunday off duty
• Overtime: occasional night-time hours may be required; paid as overtime
• Contract: permanent, live-in with private accommodation

Responsibilities

• Caring for newborn baby and supporting milestones through indoor activities and outdoor time
• Attend classes and activities to promote social interaction while ensuring safety and happiness
• Nursery duties: laundry, tidying bedrooms and play areas, keeping shared areas organized
• Prepare healthy, nutritious meals and batch cooking as needed
• Driving: careful and confident driver with a clean licence and own fully insured car; duty mileage reimbursed

Team and family context

Mum is a doctor on maternity leave; you’ll be working alongside her. Dad is at home and takes care of the house. There are two older children aged 17 and 15 who require minimal care.
