About the Practice

A progressive, well-established equine veterinary practice in Essex offering high quality care to a diverse client base. The role includes ambulatory work, in‑house diagnostics and inpatient care across yards, stables, and outdoor environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical veterinary care for performance horses and complex medical cases.
• Provide emergency and out‑of‑hours care, including night and weekend services.
• Perform diagnostics, pharmacology, and nutrition consultations.
• Educate and support clients, ensuring excellent communication.
• Maintain accurate records and uphold high clinical standards.

Qualifications

• RCVS registered Veterinary Surgeon with solid experience in equine medicine.
• Strong foundation in diagnostics, equine pharmacology, and nutrition.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and physical stamina for large animal work.
• Clear communication skills and a commitment to continuing education.

Working Hours & Rota

Full time position, 4‑day week with an irregular rota that includes nights and weekends.
