Overview

(Freight Forwarder - Ocean Freight) - Position Overview Our client is seeking a highly organised, experienced, and customer-focused Freight forwarder, who will then train to become a Multimodal Freight forwarder, to join their expanding forwarding team. The primary focus of this role is sea freight import and export operations, with opportunities to gain experience in air and road freight as part of your ongoing training and development into a fully multimodal operator.

In addition to operational responsibilities, the role includes commercial activities, such as outbound customer calls, to support and develop the company's multimodal services.

Responsibilities

Operational:

• Manage sea freight import and export files from quotation to final delivery
• Support airfreight and road freight bookings (training provided)
• Liaise effectively with customers, overseas agents, suppliers, and internal teams
• Arrange customs clearance, documentation, and delivery bookings
• Resolve operational issues promptly and professionally
• Ensure accurate costing, invoicing, and file maintenance
• Monitor customer and supplier credit limits in line with company policy
• Undertake additional tasks as requested by your line manager
